LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech's Megan Dowdy and Gloriana Soto have been busy competing in tournaments as they prepare for the 2008-2009 season.

Dowdy played in the Collegiate Players Tour - Flintrock Falls Collegiate Open in Lakeway Open last week and finished in second place with a three day total of 225. She shot the low round of the tournament on the final day shooting a personal-best of 69.

Soto played match play in the 78th WTNGA Amateur Championship that was held July 14th -19th. She made it through to the round of 16 before bowing out five and three. Soto took the first match one up and then won the second match two and one.
