LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech's Megan Dowdy won the Collegiate Players Tour Sonterra Collegiate Open this past weekend and will play at the CPT's National Tournament in Euless, Texas starting today.

Dowdy shot a three day total of 229 to win the tournament by two strokes. She shot the tournament's low round with a 73 on the second day. Her other two scores were an 81 to start and a 75 on day three.

The Collegiate Players Tour is designed to provide summer golf competition for college men and women. Dowdy will start competition in the CPT's National Tournament in Euless, Texas today and will play through Thurs. Aug. 14th.
