LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's golf team stands in fourth place after two rounds of the Big 12 Fall Preview, while sophomore Melanie Hunt is leading the tournament.

The Raiders shot a combined score of 607 on the 5,991-yard, par 72 Ridgewood Country Club. Hunt shot rounds of 72 and 71 for a one-under par score of 143. Both rounds were season-bests for the sophomore.

Junior Jennifer Newhouse shot 73-78 tying her for 17th, senior Priscillia Hunt shot a 75-81 tying her for 29th, sophomore Stephanie Dukes shot 80-77 tying her for 31st, and freshman Jackie Ey shot 85-81 tying her for 58th.

Texas Tech is currently ranked 29th in the nation and will be trying to up their position with the final 18 holes Tuesday starting at 8 a.m.
