LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's golf team is traveling to Las Vegas, Nev. to play in the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown held at the Boulder Creek Golf Club on Mon. Oct. 27th-29th.

The Lady Raiders are coming off two-straight top 10 finishes in a row as a team. Senior Ulrika Van Niekerk has led the team with sixth and fifth place finishes in each of the last two tournaments.

Senior Megan Dowdy and junior Alex Gibson are both coming into the tournament on a hot streak. They both have finished in the top 15 in both the Heather Farr Memorial and McHaney/Morehead Invitational.

Sophomore Jackie Smith and junior Rosalyn Kim are the final two Lady Raiders travelling to Las Vegas, Nev.

The teams competing in the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown include, BYU, Colorado State, Eastern Washington, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa State, Long Beach State, Louisville, Minnesota, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Pepperdine, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech, UC Davis, UNLV and Washington.

The tournament starts Monday morning at 7:30 a.m. local time. Live scoring of the tournament can be found at www.golfstat.com.
