LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head women's golf coach JoJo Robertson announced her first signing class this afternoon that includes a pair of standout golfers from the state of Texas.

Robertson, in her first season as the head golf coach for the Lady Raiders, inked two players from Texas that includes Katie Grady of Mansfield and Hannah Arnold of Lufkin. Both players will join the program in the fall of 2010.

"We are really excited about Katie and Hannah joining our team next fall, said Robertson. "They both have a lot of potential and we are looking forward to the contributions that they will make."

Grady, a product of Class 5A Mansfield High School, is currently ranked No. 94 in the Golfweek/Titleist rankings for 2010 graduates and No. 121 in the Polo Golf rankings. While at Mansfield, she claimed district medalist honors in 2009 while being named All-District in 2007, 2008 and 2009. She also took home the 2009 Red Raider Classic championship with a score of 143. In her career, she has posted numerous Legends Junior Golf Tour victories as well as posting an eighth place finish in the AJGA Mayakoba Junior Classic 2009/Mexico.

Rounding out the class is Lufkin native Hannah Arnold. Arnold, a four-year letterwinner at Class 5A Lufkin High School, has claimed two individual district titles and been named First-Team All-District in three different seasons. A three-year competitor in the Texas Women's Amateur, she has twice claimed low medalist honors and was the first flight champion in 2008. Arnold's competitive drive on the course also shows in the classroom as she currently ranks 57th out of 475 members in her class.
