The Cardiac Freshman Janine Beckie once again came through in the clutch for her second game-winner late in the game to give Texas Tech a 1-0 win over Nevada and push the Red Raiders to a perfect 5-0 record.

Soccer Completes Perfect Weekend with 2-0 Win

Texas Tech found another freshman to step up on a penalty kick Sunday afternoon and held off the Lobos the rest of the way for a 2-0 win and 2-0 start to the 2012 season.

2012 - FRESHMAN SEASON
Appeared in all 23 matches with seven starts as a midfielder...scored one goal...tallied three assists...took 26 shots with 10 on goal...scored first career goal on a penalty kick against New Mexico (8/19) - a game-winner...also tallied an assist about New Mexico to tally a career-high three points...made career debut in the season-opener against Idaho (8/17)...recorded an assist in a 1-0 victory over Nevada (8/31)...made five consecutive starts from Sept. 2 (at Ole Miss) - Sept. 21 (at West Virginia)...appeared in both NCAA Tournament matches...recorded an assist against Florida State in the second round...logged a career-high 69 minutes at Auburn (9/8).
