Final Stats

Texas Tech (0-2, 0-0) fell 6-1 to Arkansas (1-0, 0-0) Sunday Afternoon at Lady'Back Field.

Halfway through the second stanza Julie Williford, beat Tech goalkeeper Brittney Peese one-on-one, scoring her fourth goal of the game, putting the exclamation point on the end of a dominating afternoon by the Lady'Backs.

The lone bright spot for Tech came just over 10 minutes into the second half as Carrie Graham scored her first goal of the season, on a shot from five-yards out that hit the post, on an assist from Catie Arsenault.

For the Red Raiders, Graham recorded three shots, two on goal, giving her six shots in two games. Both Kerri Campbell and Michaela Roberts recorded two shots on goal in the loss.

Just over three minutes into the game Arkansas' Pam Pesnell broke through the Red Raiders defense to score what would be the first of four Arkansas goals in the first half.

Julie Williford recorded a hat-trick in the first half of the game leading Arkansas to a 4-0 halftime lead.

With the loss the Red Raiders fall to 0-2 and will take a week off before hosting the Sheraton Shoot-Out at R.P. Fuller Stadium Saturday and Sunday, both games kicking off at 1:00 p.m.
