Red Raiders Drop a 2-0 Soccer Decision to Butler at Butler Invitational September 18, 1998 INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Texas Tech women's soccer team snapped a two-game win streak with a 2-0 loss to host Butler Friday at the Butler Invitational in Indianapolis, Ind. The last time the Red Raiders were held scoreless took place on Sept. 28, 1997, when 10th-ranked Nebraska shutout Tech, 5-0. The Red Raiders fall to a 3-2 record while Butler improves to 2-3 on the season. Despite outshooting Butler 11-9, the Red Raiders could not capitalize on their opportunities. Both Butler goals came in first half (33rd minute, 41st minute). Texas Tech took only one corner kick compared to Butler's four corner kicks. Junior forward Kristy Frantz led the Red Raiders in shots with five followed by Jaime Wolff's four shots on goal. Texas Tech looks to rebound with a contest against Evansville on Sunday in the second day of the Butler Invitational. Game time is slated for a 12:00 p.m. start.
