LUBBOCK, Texas - Junior Melanie Brosnahan scored twice as the Texas Tech Red Raiders defeated Oklahoma State, 4-0, in Big 12 soccer action Sunday afternoon at R.P Fuller Stadium.

The match was played before 724 fans, a new single-game attendance record at Tech.

Brosnahan got the scoring started for the Red Raiders, putting back a rebound from inside the six-yard box in the 23rd minute. Tech held the 1-0 advantage heading to halftime.

The Red Raiders scored three times in the second half in a nine-minute stretch, including Brosnahan's second goal of the match and fourth of the season.

Junior Carrie Graham scored unassisted in the 60th minute for a 2-0 lead. Monica Miller then booted a deflected ball into the right corner of the net for a three-goal lead in the 65th minute.

Brosnahan tallied the final score of the match in the 69th minute, beating OSU keeper Katharine Doud one-on-one for the final 4-0 score.

Tech keepers Brittney Peese and JoDee Campbell combined for 10 saves in the match, and the Red Raiders outshot Oklahoma State 14-10.

Tech moved to 4-1 all-time against the Cowgirls, 3-0 at home. The Red Raiders continue action this coming weekend with matches at Kansas on Friday and Missouri on Sunday. Tech returns home Sunday, October 15, at 1 p.m. to face the Baylor Bears.
