LUBBOCK, Texas - The fourth-ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers got two goals from Lindsey Greenwood to overcome an early deficit an defeat Texas Tech, 4-1, in soccer action Sunday afternoon at R.P. Fuller Stadium.

Tech's Ali Jepson booted a long ball past Nebraska keeper Katrina LeBlanc in the fifth minute of the match to put the Red Raiders ahead early. LeBlanc played most of the match well out of the 18-yard box, and Jepson put one over her head for the early score.

But the conference's top-ranked squad came back to take the lead before halftime. Greenwood entered the match at 27:12, and just more than three minutes later scored unassisted off a deflected ball, booming a shot past Tech keeper Brittney Peese to knot the match at one.

Greenwood scored again just two minutes later on an assist from Christine Latham after a scramble in front of the net, giving Nebraska a 2-1 advantage at halftime.

The Cornhuskers (17-1, 8-1 Big 12) attacked early after the intermission, scoring after a corner kick in the first minute after the break. Kelly Rheem crossed a ball into the goalie box, Latham headed it to the far post, and Lauren Tatum flicked it into the back of the net for a 3-1 Husker edge.

Latham scored a goal of her own in the 70th minute, unassisted, for the final margin of victory.

Sunday was the final home match for four Tech seniors, including JoDee Campbell, Ana Ontiveroz, Kelly Taylor and Lindsay Thompson.

Peese made eight saves in the match, as the Huskers took 18 shots in the match, including 12 on goal.

The Red Raiders conclude their regular season Friday with a 4 p.m. match against the Colorado Buffaloes in Boulder, Colo.
