Red Raiders Shutout by Huskers
Lincoln, Nebr.--Texas Tech's women's soccer team travelled to the plains of Nebraska to take on the tenth ranked Cornhuskers in a battle of Big XII foes. When all was said and done, the scoreboard read 5-0. Unfortunately for Tech, they were on the 0 side.
TTU couldn't put a halt to Nebraska's 21 game home win streak, or to their four games of consecutive shutouts on Sunday at the Abbott Sports Complex.
With the loss, the Red Raiders fell to 4-7-0 and 4-5-0 in the conference. Nebraska improved to 8-2-0 overall and 4-2-0 in the conference.
The action was, as one might expect, dominated by the Huskers. They had a total 26 shots, including 15 on goal, to just five shots and two shots on goal for the Red Raiders.
Texas Tech looks to get back on the winning track when they take on TCU in Lubbock on Oct. 1.
