Beckie Selected to U.S. U-20 National Team Camp
Texas Tech All-American Janine Beckie has been selected to the U.S. Women's U-20 National Team training camp.

LUBBOCK, Texas - On the heels of a prolific freshman campaign, Texas Tech All-American forward Janine Beckie has officially been invited to join the U.S. U-20 National Team training camp in Carson, Calif.
Beckie will join a pool of 24 players, nine of which are currently on college rosters, at the Home Depot Center for the elite week-long camp scheduled to begin Saturday and continue through Feb. 9.
"I feel so incredibly honored to be selected to play at this camp with the best players in the country," Beckie said. "It is a very high level to be playing at, and it's an incredible blessing to be a part of the U.S. Soccer family - but more than that it's an incredible opportunity for me to pursue my dream of playing on the U.S. National full team one day. I'm so blessed and thankful to have this chance, and I'm ready to get out there and represent my family, my school and myself this week."
The Highlands Ranch, Colo. native was a member of the U.S. U-18 National Team before helping guide the Red Raiders to an appearance in the second round of the NCAA Tournament during the record-breaking 2012 season.
The Big 12 Rookie of the Year, Beckie scored 14 goals during her freshman campaign which ranks second all-time by a Red Raider in a single season. Beckie also scored five-game winning goals to match the school record.
The U.S. U-20 National Team is scheduled to scrimmage the U.S. U-18 team on Feb. 5 at 3 p.m. (PT) before also scrimmaging UCLA on Feb. 8 at 5 p.m. (PT).
The U.S. Women's U-20 team advanced to the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup championship in Japan during the 2012 season.
