Haagsma Signs With Sky Blue FC|
Former Red Raider Hayley Haagsma agreed to terms with Sky Blue FC of the NWSL today.

LUBBOCK, Texas - Former Red Raider defender Hayley Haagsma officially agreed to a contract with Sky Blue FC of the National Women's Soccer League, the organization announced today.
Haagsma, who last season helped lead the Red Raiders to their second-straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament, was drafted by Sky Blue in the second round of the NWSL Draft held in January.
"I'm really excited to continue my soccer career into the next level," Haagsma said in a statement released by the organization. "I'm looking forward to playing with and against some of the best female players in the world, and I can't wait to join Sky Blue FC on the road to a NWSL championship."
Haagsma joins former Red Raider midfielder Taylor Lytle on the squad. Lytle started 12 matches and scored four goals for Sky Blue FC in 2013.
The Cerritos, Calif. native earned All-Big 12 honors as a defender in 2013 before being named to the Academic All-America First Team. Haagsma made 65 starts over the course of her Texas Tech career, and was elected as the co-team captain for the 2013 season.Sky Blue's 2014 season opener is set for April 12.
