LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's soccer season finale showdown with Oklahoma State has been selected by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and Fox Soccer as the NSCAA College Game of the Week.

The highly-anticipated match up at the John Walker Soccer Complex is slated for 7 p.m. on Friday Oct. 26, and as the showcase game of the week will be televised live nationally by Fox Soccer.

"First of all, we are honored to be selected by Fox Soccer Channel for the NSCAA College Game of the Week," head coach Tom Stone said. "This is a great opportunity to showcase Texas Tech University, our up and coming women's soccer program and our wonderful John Walker Soccer Complex. Our game night experience is truly an awesome environment and one that will provide a terrific backdrop to an exciting season finale against OSU."

In its eighth season of showcasing the best in collegiate soccer, the NSCAA and Fox Soccer Channel annually select the top men's and women's soccer programs from across the country to appear on the NSCAA College Game of the Week throughout the season.

"We chose Texas Tech because of the excitement that is developing around the program in terms of the quality of Texas Tech's play along with the atmosphere that is being generated at the John Walker Soccer Complex." Rob Kehoe, Director of College Programs at the NSCAA, said.

The appearance on NSCAA College Game of the Week will mark the second in as many seasons for the Red Raiders. Tech and Oklahoma State met last season in Stillwater as part of the NSCAA Game of the Week on Oct. 27.

This will mark the first time Tech has hosted the NSCAA Game of the Week at the John Walker Soccer Complex.

Just last season, Texas Tech broke two single game attendance records en route to ranking No. 13 nationally in average home attendance.

Texas Tech enters the 2012 campaign fresh off one of the most successful seasons in school history as the Red Raiders finished fourth in the Big 12 to match their best Big 12 finish in school history. Tech returns 78 percent of its minutes from last season along with 70 percent of its scoring.

Texas Tech will open its 2012 season on Aug. 17 when the Red Raiders host Idaho at the John Walker Soccer Complex at 7 p.m.
