Tech Soccer Adds Defender Jade Dapaah|
Jade Dapaah, an Oklahoma transfer, will join the Red Raider backline in 2013.

Dapaah appeared in 13 matches for the Sooners as a freshman defender during the 2012 season. The Bedford, Texas native lettered four years at Grapevine High School where she played as an outside back, center back and forward. She was a four-time All-District selection, earning first team honors as a senior.
The talented defender was also a member of the Solar SC U-17 squad which won the 2010 national championship.
"Jade was a highly sought after youth player from a national championship club team." Stone said. "We wanted her to be a Red Raider from the first time we saw her play at age 16. Obviously, she took a slight detour to get to Lubbock but we jumped at the chance to have her join us in 2013."

Texas Tech opens its 2013 season Aug. 23 at New Mexico with the home opener scheduled for Aug. 25 when the Red Raiders host Colorado State at 1 p.m. Tech advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2012, and ended the season with a 16-6-1 record.
