LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's soccer team won its first two games of its 10-day European tour. The team defeated the Dutch Ladies RKVCL 6-2 on Sun., Aug. 15 and Standaard Ehlen of Belgium 9-0 on Mon., Aug. 16.

Sophomore forward Carrie Graham, a transfer from the University of Alabama-Birmingham, had impressive performances in her first action as a Red Raider scoring a combined five goals in the two contests.

"My expectations were for better competition than what we have experienced so far," said head coach Felix Oskam. "We are in better shape then they are, as they just started working out. We played pretty well. We were a little sluggish for our first game because of jetlag but overall we have had good performances."

The Red Raiders will now travel to Germany to take on FV Dudenhofen on Wed., Aug. 18 and TuS Niederkirchen on Sat., Aug. 21 before returning to the United States on Aug. 22.
