LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech womens soccer team outshot the Angelo State Rambelles, 33-1, enroute to a 7-0 exhibition win Friday afternoon at the soccer practice field before a crowd of 100 people. The Red Raiders went 2-0 in exhibition games, outscoring their opponents, 13-2.

Tech controlled the pace of the contest right from the opening whistle, fine-tuning its offensive game plan while playing a majority of the game in Angelo States defensive backfield. Junior forward Kristy Frantz, fresh off a three-goal game against West Texas A&M last Saturday, collected two more goals in the first half. Sophomore transfer Jennifer Hamm directed the Red Raider offense and tallied a goal and an assist as well. Red Raider goals were also scored by Lindsay Thompson, Jaime Wolff, Amy Rutstein, and Marie Valdez.

Tech opens the 1998 regular season Tuesday with a home game against #20 SMU. Game time is 4 p.m. at R.P. Fuller Stadium.
