STORYLINES:

RED RAIDERS DOMINANT AT HOME
The Red Raiders have proven to be a dominant team when playing on their own turf. After going an impressive 9-1 at the John Walker Soccer Complex in 2012, Texas Tech has continued to protect its home field opening the 2013 campaign winning two of its first three matches at the John Walker Soccer Complex. The Red Raiders have dropped just two if its last 15 home matches dating back to Oct. 2011.

TECH'S SECOND HALF SCORING
The Red Raiders have proven to be dominant in the second half of play during the last three seasons. In 2012 alone, Tech outscored opponents 29-10 in the second half.  In the last three seasons combined (2011-13), Tech has outscored opponents 49-24 in the final 45 minutes of play. This year, they have continued that trend, outscoring their first four opponents 7-3 in the second half. Against Colorado State last week, Tech went off for four goals in the second half - the most by a Tech team in a single half of play since 2011 when the Red Raiders netted five in the second half against Arizona State.

FRESHMAN CRABTREE HAS BREAKOUT WEEKEND
Texas Tech freshman forward Maddy Crabtree had a breakout performance last weekend against Idaho State and Colorado State. Crabtree scored her first career goal in the Red Raiders' 3-0 victory over Idaho State on Friday. She turned around and netted her second of the week plus added an assist against Long Beach State. She totaled five points for the weekend.

TECH GIVES UP FIRST GOALS OF 2013 SEASON
The Red Raiders gave up their first goal of the 2013 season Sunday when Tech fell to Long Beach State 3-2 at the John Walker Soccer Complex. Entering the match, Texas Tech had shutout each of its first three opponents of the season and went seven total halves of soccer without giving up a goal. The Red Raiders were won of just two Big 12 programs to shutout each of its first three opponents.
