LUBBOCK, Texas - After playing its last eight of 10 games on the road, the Texas Tech women's soccer team returns to R.P. Fuller Stadium for an extended seven-game homestand beginning Friday, Oct. 16 when Oklahoma State visits Lubbock. Gametime is scheduled for 4 p.m. On Sunday, the Red Raiders (4-4-2, 1-2-1 Big 12) face Oklahoma at the stadium with a 1 p.m. start. Tech is coming off a 1-0 win over Kansas this past Monday in Norman, Okla.

The Oklahoma State Cowgirls come to Lubbock with a 7-3-2 overall record, 1-1-2 in Big 12 play. The Cowgirls are coached by Karen Hancock, who is in her third year at the helm. Despite being involved in four consecutive overtime contests, the Cowgirls have gone 0-2-2 during those four games. Four OSU players sport double figure scoring numbers, led by senior midfielder Melissa Wykes with eight goals and one assist (17 points). Sophomore Andrea Larsen is second with 14 points (five goals, three assists). Senior goalkeeper Chrystal Emerson has played all but 20 minutes this season, allowing 14 goals and collecting 54 saves. She holds a 1.10 goals-against-average. As a team, Oklahoma State has twice as many goals as its opponents (28-14).

The Oklahoma Sooners sport a 7-5 overall record, 1-3 in conference action. The Sooners' lone league win was against Kansas this past Sunday in Norman, 3-0. Under the direction of third-year coach Bettina Fletcher, Oklahoma is led by freshman midfielder Jonette Coquat, who has seven goals and five assists after this past weekend. Sophomore midfielder Heather Morrison tallies 18 points, with six goals and six assists. Sophomore goalkeeper Ayn Toppin has seen the most minutes for the Sooners (776) and holds a goals-against-average of 2.67. As a team, Oklahoma has outscored its opponents, 29-25.

Texas Tech students wearing red and black will be admitted free to Friday's game. Sunday is Youth Soccer League Day. All kids wearing soccer uniforms will be admitted free with the rowdiest team receiving Powerade squeeze bottles and a cooler. During halftime between the Red Raiders and Oklahoma, a scrimmage between U-7 teams is scheduled. An autograph session with the Red Raider squad and a youth clinic will take place following Sunday's game.
