LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech women's soccer will take its last road trip of the season this weekend. On Fri., Oct. 20, the Red Raiders will face Colorado in Boulder, Colo., at 5 p.m. CDT. Tech will travel to Lawrence, Kan., on Sun., Oct. 22, to face Kansas at 1 p.m.

Last weekend the Red Raiders (6-9-2, 1-5-1 Big 12) hosted Oklahoma rivals, the Oklahoma Sooners and Oklahoma State Cowgirls. Tech fell to Oklahoma, 1-0, on Friday night. Tech ended the match against No. 12 Oklahoma State in a double overtime tie, 2-2. Tech had a 2-1 lead with under ten minutes remaining. With seven minutes remaining in the match, senior Katie Lacey would score for the Cowgirls to tie the match. At the 86:55 mark Maegan Wilber collected a shot on goal, but Erin Stigler would record a save for the Cowgirls and sent the match into overtime. Neither team could record a goal in overtime. The last time Tech defeated a nationally ranked team was Sep. 29, 2006, against No. 17 Missouri. The Red Raiders defeated the Tigers, 3-1.

Freshman forward Brittney Harrison continues to lead the Red Raiders in points (20) and goals (9). She also leads Tech with 47 shots and 27 shots on goal.

Friday's opponent, Colorado, holds an 8-5-2 overall record and a 2-4-1 overall record. The Buffalos fell to Missouri, 3-0, on Oct. 13. Nikki Marshall leads Colorado points (22), goals (10), shots (51), and shots on goal (24).

Kansas (9-6, 4-3 Big 12) will host the Red Raiders on Sunday. The Jayhawks wrapped up last weekend with two conference shut-out wins. Kansas defeated Iowa State, 2-0, in Ames, Iowa, on Friday night. On Sunday, Kansas shut-out the Missouri Tigers, 4-0. The Huskers are led by Monica Dolinsky. Dolinsky has six goals and 12 of her 30 shots are shots on goal.

"We are looking forward to both games," said head coach Neil McGuire. "It is exciting to still have it all to play for with only three regular season games remaining. We are still capable of achieving our goal of advancing to the Big 12 tournament and I know the players are ready to do their best."

This weekend is the last road trip for the Red Raiders this season. The Red Raiders will return to R.P. Fuller Stadium for their last match of the season as they host the Baylor Bears on Oct. 27 at 7 p.m.
