LUBBOCK, Texas - After winning its last three straight Big 12 conference games, the Texas Tech women's soccer team faces its toughest team of the season as #17 Baylor comes to Lubbock for an afternoon contest Wednesday. Gametime is 4 p.m. at R.P. Fuller Stadium on the campus of Texas Tech. The Red Raiders post a 6-4-2 overall record, 3-2-1 in Big 12 action.

Texas Tech's defense has been stellar, allowing only one goal in its last three games. Freshman goalkeeper Brittney Peese earned her third shutout over Oklahoma on Sunday. It was also her second shutout of the week. Senior forward Amy Rutstein leads the Red Raiders in scoring with 12 goals and two assists (26 points). She scored five goals in Tech's last three games.

The Baylor Bears come to Lubbock with an 11-3-1 overall record, 5-0-1 in Big 12 action. The Bears have yet to lose in league play, with its lone tie coming at the hands of Texas. Baylor has posted six straight shutout games, not allowing a single goal during that time. Sophomore goalkeeper Dawn Greathouse leads the league with an overall goals-against-average of 0.73. Junior forward Courtney Saunders leads the Bears in scoring with 13 goals and three assists. As a team, Baylor has outscored its opponents, 32-11.
