LUBBOCK, Texas - A day after being honored by Soccer America Magazine, Texas Tech sophomore defender Brittney Harrison has been named to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week for the second-consecutive week.

Harrison is the first Big 12 player to be honored by the publication in consecutive weeks since Nebraska's Brittany Timko did so in 2004. This is only the third time a Big 12 player has been honored in consecutive weeks.

In last weekend's victory over Oklahoma State, Harrison scored Tech's only goal, while also leading the Red Raiders to their second-consecutive shutout. Harrison also played all 110 minutes on the back line last Friday in the Red Raiders' 0-0 tie at Oklahoma.

The Plano, Texas, product is currently tied for team high in goals with three. Her .800 shot on goal percentage and 1,296 minutes also lead the team.

The Red Raiders return to action this weekend as the team travels to Waco Fri., Oct. 26, to face Baylor in the second annual "Battle for the Brand" game. Tech closes the regular season Sun., Oct. 28, against in-state rival Texas A&M.
