LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head coach Tom Stone and the Team USA Under-20 National Team will face France Wednesday at noon (central time) in the first round of the FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Chile. The match will be broadcast live nationally by ESPN2.

Stone is currently an assistant coach with the squad, resuming his duties from last summer when the team finished second in the CONCACAF qualifying tournament in Pueblo, Mexico, which qualified Team USA for the world cup.

Tech redshirt freshman midfielder Taylor Lytle was selected to join the team for the final camp prior to traveling overseas, but was unable to attend as she suffered a minor knee injury late in the regular season.

Team USA will continue play in the B pool Friday, facing Argentina at 9 a.m., before taking on China next Monday (Nov. 24) at 1 p.m.
