Red Raider Softball Travels to Abilene for Doubleheader
LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech softball team will play a doubleheader against Abilene Christian tomorrow beginning at 1 p.m. in Abilene.
It marks the second meeting between the two teams this season. Tech took two games from the Wildcats (8-0, 10-0) on Feb. 18 in Lubbock.
Texas Tech returns home after spending a week in Orlando, Fla. at the Rebel Games. The Red Raiders won nine game and lost one. Their season record is 27-5 overall. Tech is led by junior infielder Kim Martinez who is currently batting .513 with nine homeruns and 43 RBIs. The ACU Wildcats are 27-9 in their first season of competition.
The Red Raiders will return home on Thursday to play Eastern New Mexico in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Tech opens it's second season of Big 12 action on Saturday, March 29 as they host Kansas in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m at the Berl Huffman Complex. Admission is free.
