Softball Drops Two To Sam Houston StateHUNTSVILLE, Texas -- The Texas Tech softball team, after sweeping Stephen F. Austin Saturday, dropped both games of a doubleheader, 7-2 and 2-0, against Sam Houston State, Sunday. Texas Tech led for most of game one, scoring a run in the first and sixth innings for the two run lead. It was then Sam Houston's offense which exploded in the bottom of the sixth, scoring seven unanswered runs and cruised to the victory. Despite outhitting Sam Houston State six to five, the Red Raiders also dropped the nightcap, 2-0. Texas Tech's inability to score runners on base was the difference in the game, as the Red Raiders stranded 13 runners.
