Texas Tech Takes Two From ACU

ABILENE, Texas - The Texas Tech softball team took two games this afternoon from Abilene Christian University, 7-4, 6-0.

The highlight of the day for the Lady Raiders was the no-hitter pitched by Jenny Cannon in the second game. Cannon improved to 6-2 on the season as Texas Tech pounded out 12 hits en rout to the 6-0 victory.

In the opening game Jessica Karenke's home run and Emily Hays' solid pitching performance lifted the Raiders to a 7-4 victory. Taking the loss in both games for ACU, was their No. 1 pitcher Shelly Owens, whos record drops to 25-9.

Texas Tech is next in action at home against Kansas on Mar. 29 the first game starts at noon.
