Texas Tech Softball Eliminated from Big 12 Tournament

OKLAHOMA CITY - The Texas Tech softball team lost to Baylor by a score 1-0 Friday at Oklahoma City, eliminating it from the Big 12 Tournament.

The Lady Raiders managed more hits (5) than Baylor (4), but stranded five runners. The game was tied a zero heading into the bottom of the fifth inning. However an RBI double by Bears' third baseman Hill broke the tie and gave Baylor the only run it would need.

Tech starting pitcher Emily Hayes took the loss, going the distance and surrendering that sole run on four hits in six innings of work.

Baylor moves on to face Missouri Saturday, while the Lady Raiders are eliminated from the tournament.
