Shannon Armstrong enters her second season as Texas Tech's director of softball operations. A West Texas native, Armstrong handles the program's business functions, including team travel and budgeting along with various other duties.

Prior to joining Tech for the 2012 season, Armstrong had spent the previous seven years as a local realtor in addition to owning a children's fitness program, Stretch-n-Grow, that incorporates exercise through play for toddler and preschool children.

In her spare time, Armstrong can normally be found watching her children participate in local basketball and baseball leagues or at various Texas Tech athletic events.

Armstrong and her husband, Daniel, reside in Lubbock with their two children, Jaxon and Reagan. She graduated from Texas Tech in 2000 with a degree in human development.
