JUNIOR SEASON (2011)
Continued to receive the majority of games behind the plate for the third-straight year ... recorded her best offensive numbers yet ... appeared in 47 games, including 35 starts ... has been spelled by Randi Tongate behind the plate ... hit .284 on the year, nearly 40 points higher than her career average ... hit her only home run of the year against Iowa State in the series opener ... has also totaled 17 RBI ... drawn 11 walks so far, the most in her career ... recorded two multiple-hit and four multiple-RBI games ... had two RBI in the season opener against BYU ... had a two-run pinch hit double against Utah Valley on Feb. 20 ... IN BIG 12 PLAY ... was one of Tech's most reliable bats during conference ... hit .323, the second-highest average on the team ... driven in nine runs as well ... over half her RBI have come during league play ... had one of the best games of her career against Iowa State on April 9 ... went 3-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored and four RBI ... also had a home run in the game ... had a pinch hit double against Texas in the series finale, driving in two runs ... AT NCAA TUCSON REGIONAL ... made starts in the final three games ... finished 3-for-10 at the plate ... scored a run against Harvard ... had an RBI single in the sixth inning against Arizona ... Academic All-Big 12 first team selection ... one of five conference athletes to record a 4.0 GPA ... also honored on the Capital One Academic All-District first team ... was later named to the Capital One Academic All-America second team ... award marked the highest academic honor in program history.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2010)
Followed up freshman campaign with another solid season ... handled the majority of the catching duties ... appeared in 52 games, all starts ... made 42 appearances behind the plate ... was also the team's DP eight times during the year and spent two games at first base ... finished with a .244 batting average ... smashed three home runs to go along with 22 RBI ... also had five doubles in 131 at-bats ... committed only two errors behind the plate ... threw out 28-of-38 stolen base attempts ... had eight multiple-hit games and seven multiple-RBI games ... is also one of Tech's top players in the classroom ... earned recognition on the Academic All-Big 12 first team ... posted a 4.0 GPA over the two previous semesters to earn the honor ... also named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District second team ... IN BIG 12 PLAY ... hit .119 during conference ... started and played in 16 of 18 games ... went three-straight games with at least two hits beginning Feb. 20 against UMKC ... went on to have a six-game hit streak, ending Feb. 28 against UT-Arlington ... went 2-for-2 at the plate with 4 RBI against North Carolina Central on March 12 ... her 4 RBI matched her career high, which ironically was originally set on March 12 the year before ... went 3-for-5 at the Big 12 Championship against Kansas and Oklahoma, earning a spot on the all-tournament team ... AT NCAA STANFORD REGIONAL ... went 4-for-11 at the plate during Tech's four games ... was 2-for-3 against Hawaii in the regional championship game.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2009)
Handled the majority of the catcher duties during her true freshman season, starting 53 games ... hit for a .224 average and blasted what turned out to be her only home run in her first collegiate game ... drilled six doubles and a triple and added 22 RBI to the offense... scored 11 runs on the season ... five multi-hit games ... she had 250 put outs and 42 assists and committed only five miscues behind the plate ... picked off five base-runners and threw out 17 others who were attempting to steal.

Born July 11, 1990, to parents Frank and Melissa Gentsch ... father is an assistant police chief and Mother is a home-maker ... her grandfather, Robert Howard is a Medal of Honor recipient ... has an older sister, Victoria Batey, and a younger sister, Isabella "Bella" ... aspires to be a district attorney ... a communication studies minor ... hopes to live in Boston, but is a huge Yankees fan.
