Finally cleared to play on 3/12, she promptly opened the season with a 4-game hitting streak including a 3-for-3 performance against North Carolina Central with 2 doubles and 2 RBI... has now appeared in 10 games and started 4 of them.

Tech Career Highs
Hits: 3, twice, most recently vs. North Carolina Central 3/12/10

RBI: 2, multiple times
Hitting Streak: 7 games from 3/10 through 3/14/09

Perhaps no other returning player embodies the struggles of the 2009 season as much as Jen Lee (although, see Jacobs' bio)... she went hitless in her first 11 games and then erupted for a game-winning hit (two RBIs) in Florida in win over Pacific and went on a hitting tear, batting .360 over the next 14 games when a play at the plate in San Diego broke her hand and virtually ended her season... came back at the end of the season not fully recovered to try to help her team and her average dipped to finish the season with a .294 average... had three doubles, a triple and three walks... did not commit an error, but with full disclosure, she was the DP 12 times and it's very difficult to commit an error from that spot.

Tough catcher who appeared in 27 games with 15 starts in her freshman campaign ... Also had stints as a designated player and served as a pinch hitter ... Picked up her first hit (a two-bagger for good measure) against Loyola-Chicago, going 1-for-3 ... Went 1-for-3 against Stanford in Palo Alto at the Stanford Classic ... Notched a hit in a trip to the plate against Maine ... Recorded the first RBI of her career with a key single to help ignite a rally in a win over UTEP ... Picked up a hit against Texas State, going 1-for-3 in the win ... Drove in Tech's sole run in game against Texas late in the year in Austin, which is nearest opponent to her home town ... earned honor roll grades in the fall of 2008.

High School
Played softball and volleyball at McNeil High School in Austin ... Earned all-district and all county honors in softball and played for the Houston Power Gold 18U team in the ASA (Amateur Softball Association) in the summers.

Born January 10, to parents Bill and Cindy Lee ... Father is a computer programmer for IBM and mother is a counselor secretary at Cedar Park Middle School ... Has a younger brother, Derrick ... She enjoys going to concerts, watching movies, laughing, and spending time with friends ... An Exercise and Sport Sciences major, with a minor in Physical Therapy, she hopes to become a physical therapist and to work to help rehabilitate injured athletes.
