San Marcos, Texas - In her first at bat of the day, Kelly Rhyne stepped up to the plate and slammed a two-run homerun to center-left field to give Tech their first win of the season, 2-1. Kristina Blair pitched a complete game facing 23 batters, with only one walk to pick up her first win of the season the second day of competition at the SWT/Century Tel Tournament in San Marcos, Texas.

Tech was able to keep its lead after second baseman Britney Stolle made a key defensive play in the bottom of the first, catching a line drive and throwing to Shayne Gipson for a putout avoiding a Bobcat run. Tech's defense kept the Bobcats scoreless until the bottom of the third when the Bobcats scored on a RBI by Kristen Zaleski.

Tech's lead was threatened in the bottom of the fourth when Ashley Wilson hit a fly to left field but Rhyne responded, catching the ball avoiding a potential triple to help the Raiders seal the win.
