• This was the second all-time meeting between Texas Tech and Louisville. The Red Raiders won the first meeting on Feb. 13, 2005, with a 5-4 victory at the UNLV Tournament in Las Vegas.
• The loss drops Texas Tech to 54-208 all-time against ranked opponents and 12-24 under head coach Shanon Hays.
• Texas Tech's six runs marked its most in a loss since falling to No. 19 Texas A&M, 9-6, in the first game of an April 17 doubleheader last year.
• The Red Raiders had not previously allowed an opponent to score in double digits since giving up 14 to Northwestern on Feb. 10 last year, which was also the second game of the season.
• Texas Tech put four runs across for the second-straight game as the Red Raiders also did so earlier in the day against Central Florida.
• The Red Raiders finished with 18 hits on the day with nine in each game.

Shelby Johnson
• Johnson posted her second multiple-hit game of the day as she went 3-for-4 with a run scored. She finished 5-for-8 overall with two runs scored.

Adriana Perez
• Perez connected on her second home run of the day with a solo shot to lead off the third inning. It was the 17th home run of her career, moving her into a tie for eighth all-time in Texas Tech history with Jennifer Bowers (2005-08).
• Perez finished 2-for-4 at the plate for her second multiple-hit game of the day. She wrapped the day going 5-for-7 overall for Texas Tech's highest average.

Katelyn Williams
• Williams went 2-for-3 at the plate and matched her career-high with three RBI as she drove in two runs with a single in the first and then connected on a solo home run in the fifth.
• It was just the second home run of Williams' career as she also homored on March 3 last year against Binghamton. Her three RBI tie her previous career high from March 4 last year against UT Arlington.
