LUBBOCK, Texas - Logan Hall delivered two early triples and a game-high four RBIs to power No. 21 Texas Tech to an 8-3 victory over Utah Valley in the Red Raiders' first game of a Friday doubleheader at Rocky Johnson Field.

Hall came up with runners on first and second in both the first and third innings, driving in the runners both times with a standup triple. The second baseman finished 2-for-2 at the plate with four RBIs.

The Tech (6-0) pitching staff took care of the rest. Brittany Talley allowed only one earned run over the first four winnings to improve to 2-0 on the season. Karli Merlich and Kermitria Ward held the Wolverines to one run over the final three innings.

Sandy James added to the Tech offense with a 2-for-3 day at the plate, finishing with two RBIs. Emily Bledsoe was also 2-for-3 on the day.

Josi Summers picked up the loss for Utah Valley (0-5) after going four innings with seven earned runs against her. Kyli Flanary pitched the final two innings, allowing only a run during that stretch.
