  • Brokeshoulder's shutout was her first since blanking Baylor on April 5 of last year in Waco. The sophomore has not allowed a run in 8.1 innings this year.

  • Tech head coach Shanon Hays made his first lineup change of the season, inserting Taylor Powell (shortstop) and Kermitria Ward (right field) into the No. 8 and 9 slots. Cydney Allen got the start behind the plate, while Sandy James moved to the designated player position.

  • In her first collegiate start, Powell had a big game at the plate, finishing 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. Powell came in earlier in the day as a defensive replacement.

  • McKenzie Clemmons capitalized on a pinch hit opportunity, nailing her first career triple down the right field line.

  • Stephanie Drewry is now riding a six-game hit streak. The junior finished 1-for-1 at the plate with two RBIs before being removed for Clemmons.

  • Despite being a regular out of the Tech bullpen, Ward made her first career start in right field. The speedy freshman finished 1-for-3 at the plate with a run scored and an RBI.
