LUBBOCK, Texas - Mikey Kenney and Stephanie Drewry combined for five hits and six RBIs from the top of the lineup to lead No. 21 Texas Tech to a 6-0 victory over Bryant Sunday morning at Rocky Johnson Field.

The duo had three RBIs in Tech's four-run second inning as Kenney earned a bases-loaded walk and Drewry followed with a two-run double down the right field line. Randi Tongate had Tech's final RBI in the inning off a fielder's choice.

Drewry added another RBI double in the third following Kenney's RBI single that scored Holley Gentsch from third. Drewry finished 3-for-4 at the plate, while Kenney smashed her first home run in the fifth inning as part of a 2-for-3 day. Both players had three RBIs in the game.

Taylor Powell hit a single up the middle to lead off the sixth inning for Tech. Logan Hall responded with a 2-0 double to center field to move Powell, the winning run, to third. Sandy James immediately drove in Powell with a sacrifice fly to left field.

In the circle, Brittany Talley (3-0) limited Bryant's opportunities, throwing her first career shutout in the six-inning gem. The freshman allowed only four hits and struck out four to earn her third win of the year.

Every time a Bryant runner reached scoring position Talley was able to recover and get out of the inning. The Bulldogs appeared to have something going in the fifth after a Lauren Bowen double to start the inning, but she was caught stealing soon after and Talley picked up another strikeout and groundout to get out of the jam.

Samantha Houseal (0-2) took the loss for Bryant, lasting only three innings while allowing seven hits and six runs, four of which were earned. She also walked four batters.
