Red Raider Softball Losses to Auburn, 4-1|

STANFORD, California - Auburn edged the Red Raiders, 4-1 in Tech's first game of the tournament. Auburn was the first to score as they posted two runs in the third when lead off hitter, Ashley Griffin hit a two-run homerun over the left field fence.
The Red Raiders put their only score up in the fourth inning as senior Kelly Rhyne hit a double to left field scoring Enderlin. Enderlin also accounted for Tech's other hit as she singled to centerfield in the sixth inning.
Auburn put their last two runs up in the sixth after a single and sacrifice fly both to left field. Auburn sophomore pitcher Holly Currie, now 7-3, threw a career high of 11 strikeouts as she threw a complete game against the Red Raiders allowing two hits, one run and two walks.
Junior Erin Crawford got the loss for Tech making her record 1-2 on the season. Crawford pitching five innings with five hits, four runs, two walks and three strikeouts. Senior Keely Tucker pitched one inning of relief for the Red Raiders facing four batters.
