Red Raider Softball Win First Game on Day Two of Stanford Invitational|

STANFORD, California - The Red Raider softball team rode the arms of pitcher Sarah Losleben today for a 1-0 win against Alabama-Birmingham 1-0 in extra innings.
In the first game of day two for Tech, the Red Raiders battled Alabama-Birmingham and went into extra innings with the score 0-0. Due to the international tiebreaker rule, both teams automatically placed a runner on second base. UAB batted first in the 8th but they were not able to execute. Freshman Devin Zaragoza started at second for Tech and then advanced to third on a baulk by sophomore UAB pitcher Brittany Hodge. Freshman Jennifer Corkin hit a single to right field on a 3-1 count to score Zaragoza for the win.
Losleben pitched a complete game for the Red Raiders bringing her record to 3-1 on the season. Losleben allowed only three hits and had five strikeouts and no walks. The Red Raiders had seven hits during the game.
