• Texas Tech fell to 3-2 all-time against McNeese State, meanwhile, as the Cowgirls snapped the Red Raiders' three-game winning streak in the series.
• Texas Tech's two losses today mark the first time the Red Raiders had lost consecutive non-conference games at home since dropping a March 22, 2004, doubleheader.
• McNeese State shut out the Red Raiders for the second time this season as Texas Tech also fell to Sam Houston State, 4-0, last Saturday in San Marcos.
• Texas Tech fell to 1-1 this season in extra-inning games and 8-4 under fourth-year head coach Shanon Hays.
• The Red Raiders fell to 5-1 this year and 86-9 under Shanon Hays when holding their opponents to two runs or less.

Cara Custer
• After going 4.2 innings today, Custer has now gone 42-straight innings without allowing an earned run dating back to the Sportco Kick-Off Classic in Las Vegas.
• Custer combined with starter Brittany Talley to strikeout 11 McNeese hitters, the most for the Tech pitching staff this season.

Mikey Kenney
• Kenney went 2-for-3 in the opener against Jackson State, marking her team-leading eighth multiple-hit game this season.

Katelyn Williams
• Williams finished 2-for-4 against McNeese State for her seventh multiple-hit performance this year.
• Williams also moved to the three-hole in the lineup for the first time this season while Sandy James dropped down to the No. 5 spot.
