Texas Tech Softball Falls 2-0 to TAMU-CC|

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Red Raiders fell 2-0 to No. 38 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in game one of the 2005 Mutual of Omaha Tournament at Rocky Johnson Field. The game remained scoreless until the top of the sixth inning when the Islanders posted both runs. TAMU-CC freshman Crystal Russell hit a double to left field allowing the two runs to cross the plate.
Sophomore Ashley Parker went 2 for 3 at the plate for the Red Raiders. Freshman Devin Zaragoza and sophomore Natalie Kula posted the other two runs for the Red Raiders. Junior pitcher Erin Crawford received the loss for Tech. Crawford pitched a complete game with three strikeouts and no walks.
The Red Raiders will continue tournament play on Sat., March 5 at 2 p.m. against New Mexico and Centenary at 4:30 p.m.
