TEXAS TECH TEAM NOTES
• Texas Tech extended its winning streak to six games with the victory. It is the longest winning streak for the Red Raiders this season and the longest since Tech won 10 straight form March 9-16 last year.
• The victory avenged a previous loss to New Mexico State from earlier this year as Texas Tech improved to 22-11 all-time against the Aggies and an impressive 11-2 at home.
• The Red Raiders improved to 20-1 all-time in the Jeannine McHaney Memorial Classic with the victory. It marked Texas Tech's ninth-straight win in the tournament that is named after former athletics department administrator, Jeannine McHaney.

• The Red Raiders scored in the opening inning for the 11th time already this season. Texas Tech is now 10-1 in those games this year and 97-20 all-time under Shanon Hays.
• Texas Tech improved to 12-2 when leading after four innings this season and an impressive 137-11 all-time under Shanon Hays with the win.
• New Mexico State's four runs marked the most for a Texas Tech opponent since UMKC scord four on Feb. 21. The Red Raider pitching staff had previously held its opponents to three or less runs in each of the last eight games.
• After starting off the year with just 10 home runs in the first 17 games, Texas Tech has totaled eight in its last five contests alone.

TEXAS TECH PLAYER NOTES
Brittany Warnecke connected on her first career home run with a two-run shot in the third inning. She is the fifth Red Raider freshman to homer so far for Texas Tech this season, joining Sydni Emanuel, Cassie McClure, Ashley Fultz and Kierra Miles.
• Warnecke's two RBI off the home run marked her first career multiple-RBI game as well.
• Despite finishing 0-for-3 at the plate, Kristi Belshe was productive with her outs as she drove in a pair of runs for her team-leading sixth multiple-RBI game this season.
Sydni Emanuel went 2-for-3 with a RBI atop the Texas Tech lineup, marking her team-leading ninth multiple-hit game this season. She is now hitting .545 (6-for-11) this weekend with five runs scored and two RBI.
Sydnie Tapia recorded her third multiple-hit game of the season with a 2-for-2 performance that included three runs scored and a RBI. Her three runs scored marked a new career high and matched the most by a Red Raider this season.
Sarah Weber was used to pinch hit for the second time this weekend as the freshman dropped down her second sacrifice of the season.
Samantha Camello extended her hitting streak to five games with a RBI single in the second inning. Camello shares the longest current hitting streak on the team with Sydnie Tapia.
Gretchen Aucoin picked up the win for Texas Tech in the circle. It was the second-straight start for Aucoin with a win as she allowed three runs over five innings.
Kierra Miles recorded her first career stolen base as she swiped second just before Warnecke's two-run homer in the third inning.
