Recap |  Box Score

  • The Red Raiders had not previously trailed a team in the fifth inning since facing Appalachian State on Feb. 13 at the Arizona State Kajikawa Classic. Tech also came back to defeat the Mountaineers in that game, 10-9.
  • Tech's 9-6 win was its slimmest margin of victory since defeating St. John's, 5-3, on Feb. 25 in the Jeannine McHaney Memorial Classic.
  • Logan Hall snapped her nine-game hitting streak after going 0-for-1 at the plate with two walks. It marked only the third game Hall has not had a hit this year.
  • Kermitria Ward made her third-straight appearance out of the bullpen to close the game, this time in a save opportunity. The freshman has not allowed a run now over her last six outings.
  • Brittany Talley's 3.2 innings pitched was her shortest start of the season. Her previous low was four innings against Utah Valley on Feb. 18. Talley picked up her team-leading eighth victory.
  • Raven Richardson's four RBIs off her grand slam in the fifth matched her career high which was previously set against Missouri-Kansas City on Feb. 21 of last year.
