Red Raider Softball Downs New Mexico State, 1-0|

ALBUQURQUE, New Mexico - Freshman Whitney Riley nailed a triple to right field to hit in the game winning run in the eighth inning to overcome New Mexico State, 1-0. Riley scored Natalie Kula who was on second due to the international tie breaker rule. The Red Raiders are now 13-9 on the season.
Both teams were held scoreless through seven innings of play. Junior Julie Hauck pitched six innings for the Red Raiders totaling two strikeouts facing 22 batters. Freshman Sarah Losleben pitched two innings of relief and became the pitcher of record and is now 6-1.
The Red Raiders will play Liberty at 11 a.m. and New Mexico St. at 1 p.m. on Saturday and Liberty at 11 a.m. and New Mexico at 3 p.m. on Sunday (central times).
