TEXAS TECH TEAM NOTES
Texas Tech extended its home winning streak to 11-straight games, its longest since winning 19 in a row from Feb. 18-March 9, 2011.
Texas Tech improved to 19-12 all-time against Texas State with the win and 4-5 in games played it Lubbock. It was Texas State's first visit to Rocky Johnson Field since the Red Raiders swept a doubleheader on April 8, 2008.
The walk-off victory was the first for the Red Raiders in the seventh inning since Adriana Perez
crushed a two-run homer on April 1, 2012, that gave Texas Tech a 5-3 victory over Iowa State.
With the win, the Red Raiders improve to 19-2 this year when leading after the sixth inning and 106-5 all-time under head coach Shanon Hays
when doing so.
Texas Tech is now 6-6 this year when its opponent scores the opening run. Texas State plated the game's first run off a two-out RBI single in the fifth inning.

with the victory.
The Red Raiders were out-hit for only the ninth time this season. Texas Tech is now 4-5 in those games with the win.
The victory moves Hays just 10 shy of 300 for his career as he is now 290-102 (.740) in his six-plus seasons as a collegiate softball coach.
Hays improved to 3-1 all-time against Texas State with the win.
McClure drove in her team-leading 28th RBI of the season with her two-out double in the sixth inning. It was her seventh double already this year.
Aucoin pitched five solid innings to earn the no-decision. She allowed one run off seven hits while striking out six. Her six strikeouts moved her into sole possession of ninth place all-time at Texas Tech with 163 career strikeouts, passing Annie Stines, who totaled 157 during the 2002-03 seasons.
Aucoin also helped Texas Tech at the plate with a RBI single in the sixth that scored the go-ahead run at the time. It was Aucoin's ninth RBI in the past nine games.
Talley recorded her 44th career victory and ninth of the season with two innings of relief. The senior was making her 118th career appearance for the Red Raiders which ranks fourth all-time in program history.
Belshe became the fourth Red Raider to reach 20 RBI this season with her bases-loaded walk in the seventh inning. She joins Cassie McClure (28), Lea Hopson (23) and Kierra Miles (21).
