Texas Tech falls to 18-11 on the season and 0-2 in Big 12. - Baylor's Chelsi Lake went 2 for 3 at the plate to help lead the Lady Bears to a 10-2 win over the Red Raiders. Tech falls to 18-11 on the season and 0-2 in Big 12 play as Baylor is 31-4 overall and 2-1 in Big 12 play.

The Bears came out early as they posted five runs in the first inning and then extended the lead to 9-0 going into the third inning. The Red Raiders were able to keep Baylor scoreless through three innings, but they posted one more run in the sixth to bring the final score, 10-2.

The Red Raiders put their two runs up in the third inning when freshman Jennifer Corkin was at the plate. Corkin singled to center field allowing seniors Natalie Enderlin and Lisa Lawler to score.

Nicole Jackson of Baylor was the winning pitcher as she pitched 3.1 innings with two hits and one strikeout. Red Raider Keely Tucker started the game in the circle for the Red Raiders and became the pitcher of record as she gave up five runs off three hits. Junior Erin Crawford pitched for six innings facing 30 batters. Crawford totaled two strikeouts and three walks.

The Red Raiders will play Eastern New Mexico in a doubleheader, Wed., March 30 at 4 and 6 p.m. to conclude Tech's six game homestand.
