The 1,248 fans that packed Rocky Johnson Field easily broke the school record of 853 that was set against Iowa State on March 28 last year. The game served as the opening ceremonies for the South Plains Little League organization.
The win was Missouri's sixth-straight over the Red Raiders. The Tigers now lead the all-time series, 26-14.
Tech did not have a fielding error for the sixth time in its last seven games. It was the third-straight game without an error for the Red Raiders.
The Red Raiders surrendered 10 runs in a game for the first time since allowing the same amount to Texas A&M last year on May 1st in Lubbock. It marked only the second time under head coach Shanon Hays that an opposing team had scored in double-digits.
Tech's nine-run deficit was the largest margin of defeat under Hays as well. The Red Raiders had not previously been run-ruled since falling to Oklahoma State, 8-0, on May 3, 2009.
