• Baylor clinched the series for the second-straight season with the win as the Lady Bears are now 33-12 all-time against Texas Tech, including a 17-4 mark in games played in Lubbock.
• Texas Tech heads into Sunday's series finale having never been swept in a three-game series by Baylor in school history.
• Texas Tech lost back-to-back games at Rocky Johnson Field for the first time this season.
• Texas Tech and Baylor both finished with six hits in the game, marking just the second time this year where the Red Raiders had matched their opponents in the category. Tech is now 1-1 in those games this year and 14-7 all-time under Shanon Hays.
• Texas Tech was previously 24-3 this season when scoring at least three runs in a game.
• The Red Raiders were also 15-3 this year when scoring in the opening inning as well.
• Baylor scored in the first inning for the second-straight day, marking just the ninth time this year where an opponent has plated a run in the opening frame. Tech is now 5-4 in those games this season.
• Texas Tech entered the series having allowed only eight runs in the first inning all season. Baylor has already scored five in both games this weekend.
• Texas Tech issued a season-high seven walks, breaking the previous mark of six that had occurred five times already this season.
• Texas Tech's seven walks were its most since issuing seven to Baylor on May 3 last year in Waco.
• Texas Tech stole its 72nd base of the season, moving the Red Raiders nine shy of the single-season school record from 2001 season.

Sydni Emanuel
• Emanuel recorded her team-leading 15th multiple-hit game of the season after going 2-for-4 at the plate. She also recorded her 12th bunt hit of the season to lead off the fourth inning.
• Emanuel swiped her Big 12-leading 29th base of the season in the fourth inning as she is now five stolen bases shy of Ashley Parker's single-season school record from 2006.

Gretchen Aucoin
• Aucoin connected on her third double of the season in the fourth inning to drive in Texas Tech's second run of the game. She now has 14 RBI in Tech's last 13 games.

Lea Hopson
• Hopson recorded her team-leading ninth double of the season in the fifth inning. She now ranks tied for fourth in the Big 12 for doubles this season.
• The double extended Hopson's hitting streak to a season-best nine games which is the third-longest streak for a Red Raider this season. Hopson has also reached safely in each of the past 12 games as well.

Cassie McClure
• McClure became the first Red Raider to reach 30 RBI this season with her run-scoring single in the first inning. She has now driven in a run in 19 of 35 games this season.

Brittany Talley
• Talley tossed three innings of shutout relief in what was the 121st appearance of her career.
