The loss drops Tech to 9-31 all-time against Baylor and just 3-14 in games played in Lubbock.
The Baylor pitching staff combined to strike out Tech 20 times in the two-game doubleheader.
Emily Bledsoe's solo home run in the third inning marked the 41st game this season she has reached base. The homer was her third of the season and first since facing Chattanooga on March 19.
Tech's three errors in the game were its most since committing four miscues against Alcorn State on March 12. The Red Raiders came into Wednesday's doubleheader with a five-game no error streak, including perfect fielding in eight of their previous nine games.
After pinch hitting in the first game, Randi Tongate came back with a strong second game, finishing 2-for-3 at the plate. It was her eighth multiple-hit game of the year.
Tech head coach Shanon Hays shuffled his lineup for the second time in as many weeks as Bledsoe moved into the leadoff spot, while Logan Hall batted second and Stephanie Drewry moved down to the No. 7 hole. It marked the first game this season Bledsoe has led off for the Red Raiders.
Tech's 11 hits in the game were its most in Big 12 play as the previous high was eight against Oklahoma on April 2. It marked Tech's most hits since recording 12 against Long Island on March 18.
The Red Raiders' 10 runners left on base matched their season high which had been done four different times this season. Tech had not previously lost any of those games with the most recent coming March 17 against Colorado State.
