COLLEGE STATION, Texas - A&M pitcher Lindsey Wilhelmson struckout the first six Red Raiders of the game and helped her cause by hitting a two-run homer in the bottom of the second as the Aggies completed a doubleheader sweep of Texas Tech, 7-0, at the Aggie Softball Complex in College Station, Texas.

Texas A&M (32-10, 5-5 Big 12) sent 10 batters to the plate scoring four in the second as it took an early 6-0 lead and never looked back. In the inning the Aggies recorded four hits including a two-run blast to center by Selena Collins.

Texas Tech (12-30, 1-9 Big 12) was kept off balance all night by Wilhelmson as she set a career high for strikeouts, 15, while only allowing two hits. Pinch hitter Amanda Douglas broke up Wilhelmson's no-hit bid in the sixth as she singled up the middle. Tiffany Harrington also singled with one out and an error by the Aggie second baseman loaded the bases. But a pair of strikeouts ended the Tech threat.

The two shutout marks the second time this season and in Big 12 Conference action that the Red Raiders have failed to score a run in consecutive games.

Tech will return to action as it travels to Lawrence, Kan., for a two-game series with the Kansas Jayhawks on Sat., April 13, and Sun., April 14.
