No. 17 Missouri Holds Off Texas Tech, 3-1|

LUBBOCK, Texas - Missouri junior Janessa Roening went 3 for 4 with one RBI to help lead the Tigers to a 3-1 win Texas Tech. The Red Raiders fall to 22-13 for the season and 2-4 in Big 12 while Missouri advances to 31-6 overall and 5-3 in conference.
Missouri scored early as they posted one run in the first inning when freshman Amanda Renth singled to right field scoring junior Janessa Roening from third. The Tigers scored two more runs in the fifth inning with a sacrifice fly from sophomore Leanne Bowers to score freshman Jen Bruck and then scored one more run when Roening doubled to left field and sophomore Sarah Stringer crossed the plate.
The Red Raiders plated their only run in the fifth inning when freshman Whitney Riley nailed a homerun over left field.
Junior Erin Crawford pitched 4.1 innings for Tech with five strikeouts and no walks. Crawford faced 18 batters and gave up seven hits and three runs. Junior Julie Hauck pitched 2.2 innings of relief facing 11 batters and walking two.
Tech will face No. 7 Oklahoma in a doubleheader Monday, April 11 with the first game starting 5 p.m. and the first pitch for the second game is slated for 7 p.m.
