COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M Aggies shutout the Texas Tech Red Raiders, 6-0, Saturday afternoon in front of 1,069 fans at the Aggie Softball Complex in College Station, Texas. Tech was able to get two hits, but Aggie pitcher Rhiannon Kliesing pitched seven strong innings in the complete game shutout.

Texas A&M (26-15/4-5) opened up a three-run lead in the third, when Kelsea Orsak singled up the middle followed by an Erin Glasco drawn walk. With two on, Kelsey Spittler drew another walk, followed by an Alex Reynolds' single to score Orsak. With three on, Bailey Schroeder singled to score Glasco and Spittler to give A&M the lead, 3-0.

Tech's Elizabeth Eimen singled in the fourth, but the Red Raiders (13-32/2-9) were unable to rally.

The Aggies added another run in the fourth when Natalie Villarreal singled to start the inning, and was plated courtesy of a Glasco double giving A&M the advantage, 4-0. In the sixth, Kliesing hit a solo home run to center field and Villarreal scored on a sacrifice by Reynolds to give A&M a six-run lead, one it never relinquished.

Eimen and Bledsoe tallied the only hits on the day for Tech. Ashly Jacobs, who started in the circle for the Red Raiders, was charged with the loss and falls to 8-17 on the season.

The Red Raiders will close outs its current road trip with a double-header against Texas State on Monday. Games times are slated for 1/3 p.m. CT. Fans can follow all the action at
